Positive Quotes and Positive thinking - two essential components if you want to grow your business.

Its all about the inner game, the mind set , that you need in order to grow your business, to sign new clients and really be able to make that difference in the world.

I think there are great opportunities throughout the year that we can just step back and notice what's been going well , notice how we have been referring or talking to ourselves and then just making some decisions on whether that is how we will need to be for the next part of the year.

We're going to be making some notes now, so you are going to need a pen and some paper. I do want to you to begin doing this process real time and once you got the process down, at the end you can go away and complete it.

  • What has gone well for you in the last 12 months?
  • Where did you show up, what did you achieve?
  • How did you make a difference doing whatever it is you do, so whether you are a coach or whether you are a speaker or a trainer or you work in a company?
  • What difference did you make?

I now want you to think of what kind of messages are you saying to yourself, what kind of titles do you give to yourself , and again, what we are looking for here is the positive stuff.

I want you to own this. Do not say, "He is the leader," or "I did really good". Instead, I want you to own it, I want you to make it present tense and it begins with an 'I'. For example, "I am a leader, I'm a great colleague to work with, I'm really brave, I have great ideas" - present tense and first person.

Now its time to embed that information into your psyche, into your DNA, into your unconscious mind. How do you do that?

You can write them in your journal, put them on the front cover of a work book if you have it, you can make it a message on your screen saver, send a text message to yourself , email yourself...so that you are surrounded and immersed in these positive affirmations. Not positive quotes you got from someone else, from a book, from a teacher or a coach, but your own.

You own them, and that's what makes them powerful.
